Identity

The Trauma and Urologic Reconstructive Network of Surgeons (TURNS) is a multi-institutional group of specialty-trained urologists that is focused on trauma and urologic reconstructive patient care. The goal of TURNS is to improve our current practices and elevate the overall standards of reconstructive and urologic trauma care through technical innovation and outcomes-based research.

Our research will encompass the following clinical problems: the management and outcomes of genitourinary trauma, the side effects or complications from prostate cancer treatment, urethral stricture disease, urinary fistula, complications from pelvic radiation, ureteral scarring, congenital developmental problems in adults, urinary diversion, treatment of patients with neurogenic bladder, prosthetic implantation for erectile dysfunction or incontinence, and the treatment of penile problems like curvature or Peyronie’s disease.
